Poly what?

Growing up with the first name "Polycarpe" (my parents added an "e" on the end...not sure why) had it's challenges. I can still remember the teacher calling out the roll in elementary class and the horror of her face as she got to me. As I got older I learned more about this incredible man and now enjoy having the name as my own and have even passed it on to my own son.

So what spurred this random post...well today I read a great article on Parchment & Pen about Polycarpe and wanted to share it with others who might not know about this saint of the second century. To check it out, click here.

I meant "fall" as in, THE SEASON - not like, "the fall of man" or something! :) I re-read it and thought ... wow, that's kind of a weird birthday greeting.
Anyway, now you know what I meant!
Happy Birthday, the season of fall is here (a great season)!
