Just so you know up front, this post is inspired by my wife. She recently posted (on our family blog) about what has now become an annual family event...the Alzheimer's Walk. For details please CLICK HERE. We lost Traice's mom to cancer at the young age of 58 four years ago, just 2 days before the birth of our son, but we began to loose her much earlier to Alzheimer's. It was a tough time, one in which we learned about the power of community and the faithfulness of God. Since then we have continued to learn about God's passion to redeem all things, even the most tragic. Redemption is both an event and process. It is also not the removal of hardships, but the surety of God's presence in the midst of them.
22The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
23they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
24"The LORD is my portion," says my soul,
"therefore I will hope in him."
Lamentations 3:22-24
